Nils Wetzstein is a consultant for infectious diseases at the University Hospital Frankfurt (UHF) and a guest scientist at the Research Center Borstel, Leibniz Lung Center. He has a keen interest in mycobacterial diseases and his research is primarily focussed on mycobacterial infections including MTB and NTM infections. Within the MIRU, he uses a variety of bacteriological, epidemiological and bioinformatical methods to improve clinical management and patient care for MTB and NTM infected patients.
