Results of survey on surgical therapy for pulmonary TB (SURVERY-TB) published

Tuberculosis can cause extensive lung damage. This might contribute to prolonged therapies and adverse outcomes. In some patients, adjunctive therapy might be useful. However, there are no large studies and the landscape of existing experience regarding surgery in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is limited.

In this collaborative survey of healthcare professionals (ESTS, ESGMYC, TBnet), we draw a detailed picture on existing experience of the usage of adjunctive surgery in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Europe.
